A Brief Club History
In January 1977 approximately 20 avid snowmobilers belonging to the Igloo Club incorporated as the North Country Snowmobile Club with the goal of developing a groomed trail system that would provide safe, scenic, and smooth riding for the public to enjoy.
Starting with a tractor and drag to maintain just a few trail miles in the Bemidji, MN area with perserverance the volunteers have evolved into the current Club. Today there are approximately 215 members, 5 groomers, and 380 miles of well maintained and groomed trails in Beltrami and Hubbard Counties. We work closely with Beltrami County as our Sponsor. Funding comes from the DNR via the Grant-in-Aid program; in addition to operating Charitable Gambling to assist with equipment purchases.
Over the years the Bemidji area has become a well recognized hub for multidirectional riding offering the best kept trails in Northern Minnesota.
